Job summary

J&P Hospitality Management, LLC is seeking a Special Operations Manager to temporarily assume General Manager duties at assigned hotels during transitions. This field-based role requires travel up to 90%, hands-on leadership, and accountability for operations, guest satisfaction, and team performance.

Reports to the Regional VP, you will stabilize properties, rebuild teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with leaders to hand off to the permanent GM.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of General Manager experience.
• Experience running a single-unit hospitality or service operation is preferred.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills required.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and basic HR practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned property and ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
• Deliver guest experiences and resolve service issues to maintain high satisfaction.
• Coach and lead property staff during the assignment.
• Review financial documents, monitor revenue, and manage expenses within budget.
• Implement inventory controls and labor management strategies to drive profitability.
• Coordinate with leadership to prepare property handoff to the permanent GM.
