Job summary

Clean Harbors in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Field Services Technician I to join our Traveling Emergency Response team. In this field role, you’ll perform hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, and decontamination tasks, with up to 50% travel across the United States.

Starting pay ranges from $20 to $23 per hour, with benefits after 30 days and opportunities for raises within 12 months. Training Academy is provided, and emergency response duties may require extended hours.

Qualifications

• Required: Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks and work extended hours including weekends/holidays.
• On-call emergency response requirement; be prepared for 12–24 hour shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies.
• Perform physically demanding tasks and operate various equipment and tools.
• Work in diverse environments and weather conditions while handling hazardous materials.
• Participate in field sampling activities and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and work from trucks, tanks, or containers.
• Be available for on-call emergency response on a rotating basis.
