Job summary

Qualifications

• Greet patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner.
• Obtain registration data, insurance information, and photo ID at each encounter.
• Promptly and accurately enter patient data into the computer system.
• Verify patient insurance and collect co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles as per plan.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient, staff, and physician information.
• Balance daily charges and safeguard money received.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating provider referrals.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient charts, arranges referrals, and shares information with other medical entities as requested.
