Job summary

Johnson Controls, including Silent-Aire, seeks an engineering technician to support refrigeration and HVAC systems in data center environments. You will read blueprints, install components, and troubleshoot equipment in customer facilities and with manufacturing teams.

The role emphasizes independent execution, safety, and clear communication with clients and team members. Travel to field sites is required, with potential for domestic and international assignments.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and field-adjustment skills with limited oversight.
• Customer service skills and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical, control and mechanical blueprints, drawings, and other specifications.
• Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components using hand and power tools.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/refrigeration equipment and PLC-based controls.
• Work with design, QA and manufacturing teams to feedback field issues and improvements.
