Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an engineering technician to support large-scale cooling systems and CRAHU installations. The role involves field work, reading blueprints, assembling components, and commissioning equipment at customer facilities.

You will troubleshoot HVAC systems, coordinate with design and manufacturing teams, and ensure safety standards across projects. Travel to field sites is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret electrical, control and mechanical blueprints and specs.
• Experience with startup and commissioning at customer facilities.
• Excellent communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and field service skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and specs for installation.
• Assemble and install HVAC components and piping; weld and brazing as needed.
• Start up systems, test for leaks, and verify performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/refrigeration equipment and PLC-based controls.
• Communicate technical issues clearly to diverse teams and customers.
