Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning of modular data centers, ensuring electrical and mechanical systems are installed, tested, and handed over from factory acceptance through site deployment. The role requires heavy travel and hands-on problem solving.

The successful candidate will work with BMS integration, HVAC controls, and project teams, while prioritizing safety and reliability across mission-critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and specs.
• 5–6 years electrical background.
• Experience with HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage commissioning activities for modular data centers from factory acceptance testing to site acceptance testing.
• Fix electrical issues on site as needed and ensure all systems meet performance and reliability standards.
• Perform functional testing of electrical systems and BMS integration.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders to align milestones.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are met throughout the process.
• Support international travel for training and deployment.
