Job summary

CTI is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites for start-up, calibration, light installation, and repair of gas detection systems. You will train plant personnel, prepare PSM reports, and may spend several nights away from home during a typical week.

The role requires travel across the United States and hands-on electrical/mechanical aptitude. Ideal candidates troubleshoot electrical systems, understand PLCs and relay logic, and communicate effectively with customers and

Qualifications

Understand electronic circuit and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
Experience using a digital multimeter and trouble shooting 120VAC and 24VDC circuits.
Ability to exercise component and personal safety to maintain, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical components.
Strong understanding of AC and DC circuitry and relay integration methods.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Calibrate, trouble shoot and repair gas detection systems and sensors.
Translate system operation scope and user functions to plant personnel.
Process reports for safety documentation to meet OSHA standards.
Contact manufacturers or distributors to maintain/calibrate equipment.
Determine best long-term method for repair and translate solutions using CTI products when possible.
