Job summary

CTI is seeking a Field Service Technician to operate primarily at customer sites, performing startup, calibration, light installation, and repair of gas detection systems. The role includes training plant personnel and preparing OSHA-compliant reports.

Expect travel across the continental US with some time in hotels, plus home time as needed. Ideal candidates will have strong electrical/electronic skills, troubleshooting ability, and experience with PLCs, relays, and 120VAC/24VDC circuits.

Qualifications

• Understand electronic circuit and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
• Experience using a digital multimeter and troubleshooting 120VAC/24VDC circuits.
• Able to work safely in industrial environments and climb ladders with gear.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair gas detection systems and sensors.
• Translate system operation for plant personnel and document usage guidance.
• Process reports for OSHA safety documentation.
• Coordinate with manufacturers or distributors for maintenance/calibration.
• Determine best long-term repair methods and document CTI solutions.
