Job summary

Calibration Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is seeking a Field Service Technician to operate independently from the main office, traveling to customer sites for start‑up, calibration, light installation and repair of gas detection systems.

You will train plant personnel on system use and prepare reports for PSM documentation; a typical week may include three hotel nights with the remainder of the week at home when possible. Travel across the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Understand electronic circuit and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
• Experience using a digital multimeter as well as trouble shooting 120VAC and 24VDC circuits to include wiring and relay logic.
• Ability to exercise component and personal safety to maintain, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical components.
• Strong understanding of AC and DC circuitry. Strong understanding of relay integration methods and functionality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in industrial environments.
• Ability to problem solve/gather information needed to complete jobs.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Acrobat PDF.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, trouble shoot and repair, gas detection systems and sensors.
• Translate system operation scope and user functions of gas detection systems and sensors to plant personnel.
• Process reports for safety documentation to meet OSHA standards.
• Contact manufacturers and/or distributors of equipment to effectively and properly maintain/calibrate leak detection equipment and associated components.
• Determine best long‑term method for repair. Translate solutions using CTI products when possible.
