Job summary

CTI - Gas Detection Specialists is seeking a Field Service Technician in Seattle, WA to travel to customer sites for start-up, calibration, light installation and repair of gas detection systems.

You will train plant personnel and prepare reports for PSM documentation, with a flexible schedule and significant travel, often overnight. The role requires strong electrical/industrial troubleshooting, independence, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Understand electronic circuit and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
• Experience using a digital multimeter and troubleshooting 120VAC and 24VDC circuits.
• Ability to work in industrial environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Acrobat PDF.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair gas detection systems and sensors.
• Translate system operation scope and user functions of gas detection systems and sensors to plant personnel.
• Process reports for safety documentation to meet OSHA standards.
• Contact manufacturers and/or distributors of equipment to effectively and properly maintain/calibrate leak detection equipment and associated components.
• Determine best long-term method for repair. Translate solutions using CTI products when possible.
