Job summary

Calibration Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites across the United States for start-up, calibration, light installation, and repairs of gas detection systems.

The role includes training plant personnel, preparing reports for PSM/OSHA compliance, and occasionally remote work from home between assignments. A valid vehicle is required, and travel is frequent with up to 40 hours per week guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Understand electronic circuits and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
• Experience with digital multimeter and troubleshooting 120VAC/24VDC circuits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in industrial environments.
• Physical ability to climb and transport tools.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair gas detection systems and sensors.
• Explain system operation to plant personnel.
• Process reports for safety documentation to OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturers/distributors for maintenance/calibration.
• Determine best long-term repair methods and apply CTI solutions.
