Job summary

Calibration Technologies, Inc. (CTI) seeks a Field Service Technician to operate at customer sites across the United States, performing start-up, calibration, light installation, and repair of gas detection systems.

You will train plant personnel on system use and prepare reports for PSM documentation; travel is frequent with hotel stays and some time at home. The role requires flexibility and a proactive, learning mindset.

Qualifications

• Understand electronic circuit and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
• Experience using a digital multimeter and troubleshooting 120VAC/24VDC wiring and relay logic.
• Ability to exercise component and personal safety in industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of AC and DC circuitry and relay integration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and Acrobat PDF.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair gas detection systems and sensors.
• Explain system operation and user functions to plant personnel.
• Process safety documentation reports to meet OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturers or distributors to maintain calibration equipment.
• Determine best long-term repair methods and translate solutions using CTI products.
