Job summary

Bystronic Inc. in the United States is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and repair Bystronic laser cutting and automation systems, and press brake machines.

The role requires 100% overnight travel, primarily within the US, with occasional international trips. You will deliver on-site technical support, enter service reports, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and train customers on operation and safety to maximize productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associates/technical ed preferred.
• Hands-on experience in field service of large machinery, or machine tool installation/repair.
• Customer service focus.
• Ability to travel 100% within the US; occasional international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, commission and troubleshoot machine tools.
• Provide top-notch technical support to customers to guarantee peak performance of sheet metal machinery.
• Enter service reports.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, perform repairs and install new machines.
• Provide training on machine operation, maintenance and safety at customer locations to maximize productivity.
