Job summary

Bystronic is seeking a Field Service Engineer in West Fargo, ND to install, troubleshoot and repair laser cutting and automation systems and press brakes at customer sites. The role requires 100% overnight travel within the United States, Monday–Friday, and a 2-year degree or technical training.

You will deliver on-site technical support, perform diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems, and provide training on operation, maintenance and safety to maximize productivity for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or technical degree preferred.
• Hands-on field service experience with large machinery or machine tool installation/repair.
• Customer service focus and ability to travel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, commission and troubleshoot machine tools.
• Provide on-site technical support to ensure peak performance of sheet metal machinery.
• Enter service reports and diagnose mechanical/electrical problems.
• Provide training on operation, maintenance and safety at customer locations.
