Job summary

Loma Systems seeks a Field Service Engineer to service Metal Detection, X‑Ray and Checkweighing products at customer sites across the USA. You will calibrate, maintain and train customers while upholding Loma Systems policies and delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (Associate degree preferred), 3+ years technical experience or 4 years in the military, travel of ~80%, ability to read schematics, and proficiency with electronic test equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years technical experience or 4 years military experience.
• Must have knowledge and experience working with electrical systems.
• Field travel experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment and identify root cause.
• Must read, comprehend and interpret complex technical information including schematics and diagrams.
• Strong communication to resolve customer issues and defuse conflict.
• Willingness to continually learn diverse products and expand knowledge.
• Proficient with electronic test equipment such as multimeters.
• Willing to work overtime and travel extensively (80%+).

Responsibilities

• Travel and deliver field support to customers.
• Verify machines operate at peak efficiency through calibration and testing.
• Commission and test machines, perform preventive maintenance and emergency service at customer sites.
• Document and report service activities (Electronic Service Reports, Calibration Reports, Expense Reports).
• Promote additional Loma product offerings and new equipment leads.
• Provide feedback on equipment reliability and design.
• Maintain parts inventory and company property.
• Observe safe working practices and conduct on-site training.
