Messer Cutting Systems Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and service multi-axis CNC equipment across North America from Detroit, Michigan. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, upgrades, and customer training at various customer sites.

Qualifications include 3+ years of related installation/repair experience and an associate’s degree in electronics, robotics or automation. Occasional on-site duties and extensive travel are required.

Qualifications

3+ years of related experience in machine installation and repair preferred.
Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Robotics or Automation technologies preferred.

Responsabilités

Diagnose, repair, install, and perform preventive maintenance of multi-axis CNC equipment at customer sites across North America.
Perform machine and software upgrades.
Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment.
Handle 480VAC safely and conform to related procedures.
Interpret mechanical layouts, electrical schematics, and bills of materials.
Complete required paperwork on time (service reports, discrepancy reports, expense reports).
Travel 95-100% often on short notice.
