Job summary

Pearce, a technology-enabled provider of asset management solutions, seeks a Field Engineer to validate fiber network designs and collect site data across North America. You will document facilities, measurements, and ownership, traveling to multiple sites as needed.

The role requires 3+ years in telecom or fiber, a valid driver’s license, and ability to read as-built prints. The position offers a company vehicle, equipment, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fiber/telecommunications/telecom construction industry.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of outside plant activities and make-ready issues.
• Ability to read as-built prints and identify conflicts with existing facilities.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and pass drug screen and background check.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document field facilities like cables, poles, handholes and hardware.
• Capture attachment heights, span distances, and centerlines.
• Identify utility ownership on poles and record bonding/grounding info.
• Deliver detailed field notes and photos to engineers.
• Propose mitigation for obstructions and read GIS maps and layouts.
• Use measuring wheels, GPS, height sticks, and other tools on site.
• Operate devices (iPad, laptop) and share files with teams.
