Job summary

Bon Appetit is seeking a Traveling Support Executive Chef to provide hands-on leadership across a portfolio of accounts. Report to Regional VP, deployed to locations undergoing transitions, openings, or challenges. Lead culinary execution, train teams, and elevate guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have executive-level culinary experience, strong HACCP knowledge, and the ability to travel extensively. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a salary in the $90k–$100k range.

Qualifications

Experience leading culinary operations in high-volume environments.
Executive Chef or senior culinary leader experience required.
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles.
Experience supporting multi-site or contract dining operations.
Willingness to travel extensively (around 85%).

Responsibilities

Provide executive chef leadership across multiple accounts during transitions and openings.
Improve food quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction across portfolios.
Maintain high culinary standards for quality and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP and allergen management.
Support new account openings, menu implementation, and training.
Partner with leaders to drive continuous improvement and cost controls.
Mentor chefs and culinary teams through coaching and hands-on leadership.
Develop culinary standards, recipes, and SOPs for consistency across sites.
Build strong client and operations relationships in a collaborative culture.
Travel extensively to support locations as needed.
