Job summary

Bon Appetit is seeking an Executive Chef, Traveling Support, to provide hands-on culinary leadership across a portfolio of accounts. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, this role is deployed to locations experiencing transitions, openings, or operational challenges.

You will assess operations, elevate food quality, and mentor teams while ensuring food safety and adherence to standards. This position requires extensive travel and a flexible, dynamic approach to diverse dining environments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading culinary operations in high-volume foodservice.
• Executive Chef or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and travel.
• Experience in contract dining or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive chef leadership across multiple accounts during transitions.
• Improve quality, consistency, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards for food quality and presentation.
• Ensure food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Support new account openings and launches.
• Partner with operations to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage food cost, inventory, and waste reduction.
• Mentor chefs and culinary teams.
• Contribute to recipe development and SOPs.
• Build relationships with clients and teams.
• Travel extensively to support locations.
