Bon Appetit Management Company is seeking an Executive Chef, Traveling Support to lead high-volume culinary operations across a multi-account portfolio. Reporting to the Regional VP, the role deploys to locations undergoing transitions, openings, or growth, delivering executive-level leadership and culinary excellence.

Travel required (≈85%), with emphasis on training, safety, standardization, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Experience leading culinary operations in high-volume foodservice, hospitality, or contract dining environments.
• Proven track record as an Executive Chef or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and kitchen operations management.
• Experience supporting operational improvement initiatives, leadership transitions, or multi-unit environments.
• Ability to assess challenges quickly and implement solutions in fast-paced settings.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Financial acumen with food cost and inventory management.
• Willingness to travel extensively (≈85%).
• Residence near a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive chef leadership and operational support across multiple accounts during transitions, openings, or growth.
• Assess kitchen operations and implement solutions to improve food quality and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and recipe execution.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, HACCP, allergen management, and regulatory compliance.
• Support new account openings: kitchen readiness, menu implementation, and training.
• Partner with culinary and operations leaders to drive continuous improvement.
• Help manage food cost, inventory controls, purchasing, and waste reduction.
• Mentor chefs and culinary team members through hands-on leadership.
• Contribute to culinary standards, training resources, and SOPs for consistency across portfolio.
• Build relationships with clients and internal teams to foster collaboration and inclusion.
• Travel across the region to support portfolio needs.
