Job summary

Wanzek Construction, Inc. is seeking a field technician responsible for maintenance and construction around high voltage substations and wind turbines. This role requires extensive travel across the United States and a strong safety-first mindset.

The candidate will perform tasks from diagnostics to repairs on electrical systems up to 34.5 kV, interact with customers, and maintain documentation. A high school diploma and electrical experience or credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical degree or certificate (preferred).
• 2+ years in electrical maintenance or related field; 1-year with degree/certificate.

Responsibilities

• Work in and around wind turbines.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers daily.
• Perform maintenance/construction on electrical collection systems up to 34.5 kV.
• Attend safety meetings and complete safety paperwork daily.
• Troubleshoot and test electrical components and systems.
• Service underground transmission systems and substations.
