Job summary

MasTec is seeking a field maintenance technician to perform electrical maintenance and construction near wind turbines and transmission systems. The role requires extensive US travel and a strong safety culture.

You will diagnose, repair, and service equipment up to 34.5 kV, read schematics, and operate power tools in varying weather conditions while engaging with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical degree or certificate and 2+ years in electrical maintenance or related field.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Work in and around wind turbines.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers daily.
• Perform maintenance/construction on electrical systems up to 34.5 kV.
• Attend daily safety meetings and complete paperwork.
• Diagnose and fix issues to avoid unplanned outages.
• Service underground transmission systems and substations.
• Replace worn or malfunctioning components.
• Create concise testing reports.
