Job summary

EC Electric, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our National Tech Systems team. The role involves traveling across the U.S.

to support multiple jobsites and coordinate with construction project management and field staff. You will assist with documentation, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company standards. The position requires understanding electrical drawings and collaborating with PMs, PXs, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating multiple jobsites and teams.
• Ability to manage project docs, submittals, RFIs, minutes.
• Proficiency reading electrical drawings and specs.
• Experience with job budgets and workflow in Viewpoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing project documentation (submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes).
• Assist supervision and directing project activities per PM instructions.
• Maintain change orders, submittal and document control logs in Viewpoint.
• Assist PM/PX with subcontractor coordination for owner manuals and drawings.
• Create Job Information Sheets and establish job files under PM/PX guidance.
• Provide temporary supervision in PM’s absence.
• Read and understand electrical drawings and specs.
• Help establish workflow breakdowns with Field Supervisors/Project Managers.
• Assist with accurate, timely project billings per contract documents.
• Support writing and submission of RFIs.
