Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Dental Receptionist to float among all HealthPartners Dental Clinics. The role requires a friendly, organized professional who can handle scheduling, patient inquiries, and payments at the point of service.

Ideal candidates will have high school completion, multiple years in medical/dental reception or customer service, strong oral and written communication, and comfort with data entry and multi-tasking in a fast-paced dental clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of formal training in medical reception or customer service program.
• Two years experience as medical/dental receptionist or medical/dental insurance processing.
• Two years experience in a customer service position.
• One year experience using data lookup and data entry on PC systems.
• One year customer service experience via telephone or in person within last five years.
• Ability to organize work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients and customers, providing information and collecting payments for non-covered services.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate provider schedules for efficient clinic operations.
• Review and update patient records and insurance information; communicate charges when applicable.
• Develop and maintain patient data integrity and reconcile charge, payment, and accounts as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
• Perform other duties consistent with receptionist responsibilities as required to meet patient needs.
