Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a casual Dental Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact at HealthPartners Dental Clinics. This float position travels between clinics to support patient scheduling and front-desk operations.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and cash handling, with responsibilities spanning appointment coordination, patient inquiries, and payment collection. A positive patient experience is the core objective.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of formal training in medical reception or equivalent program or customer service program.
• Two years as medical/dental receptionist or medical/dental insurance processing.
• Two years in a customer service position.
• One year experience with data lookup and data entry on PC.
• One year customer service experience (in-person or via telephone) within last five years.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients at the dental clinic.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and coordinate schedules across providers.
• Explain charges, collect payments for non-covered services, and manage patient records.
• Support colleagues and promote teamwork within the clinic.
• Perform other duties as needed to support patient care and clinic operations.
