Job summary

OBR Management is seeking a Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician to service customers across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. You will perform thorough power washing and cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks, ensuring equipment operates safely and meets industry standards.

The role requires attention to safety, the ability to work independently or with a team, and willingness to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Experience power washing or industrial cleaning.
• Prior experience working at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments.
• Negative 9 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for travel to designated meeting locations.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Some late nights, occasional overnight work, and overtime when available.
• Early start times (sometimes as early as 4:30 AM).
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for early-morning schedules.
• Smartphone proficiency for scheduling and communication (Gmail, Dropbox, OneDrive, Adobe, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks using power washing equipment and approved cleaning methods.
• Operate power washers safely, selecting appropriate spray heads and pressures for each task.
• Assist with pre- and post-cleaning activities, including system preparation and clean-up.
• Accurately follow instructions from supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Complete required safety documentation, including Job Hazard Analyses and daily paperwork.
• Follow all company safety policies, including proper PPE usage and chemical handling procedures.
• Read and apply information from Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) as required.
• Maintain a professional attitude and strong work ethic while representing the company at client sites.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
