Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, seeks an experienced Lead Superintendent to drive ground-up, multi-story steel-framed projects from Charlotte, NC. You will lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery from day one.

You’ll manage scheduling, cost reporting, and vendor coordination while traveling nationally as required. The role demands leadership, strong communication, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced construction

Qualifications

• 5-25 years of construction experience with at least 5 years as a lead superintendent on ground up, multi-story, steel framed projects.
• Willing to travel nationally.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Attend post-award review meetings to receive project details and preplanning information.
• Prepare construction activity schedules, staffing plans, and equipment requirements.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specs and deadlines.
• Coordinate subcontractors to align with project schedules and progress.
• Inform supervisors of schedule changes and update progress reports.
• Assist in preparing job progress and cost reports to reflect actual costs.
• Review requisitions, field PO's, invoices, and other reports.
• Cooperate with owners and representatives to communicate progress and issues.
• Hold site meetings and report regularly on plans and progress.
• Maintain a daily diary of significant project events and decisions.
