Job summary

HPM is seeking a Project Manager to lead the complete construction process from initiation to completion in Houston. You will coordinate vendors, negotiations, client expectations, and scheduling while ensuring adherence to standards.

Travel to project sites or other offices may be required up to five days per week. The role involves managing budgets, schedules, and contract administration, while providing leadership to junior staff and safeguarding project goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or related field preferred
  • 4-10 years of experience in large, complex facility construction
  • Detailed knowledge of construction process, budgeting, accounting and procurement
  • Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software (SureTrak, Project, P6, Procore, Revit, VICO) and a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the work of assistant project managers and participate in training
  • Maintain the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and budget
  • Develop project administration, correspondence, letters, etc.
  • Provide planning, administration, design, construction and technical support for projects
  • Develop and monitor project budgets and change orders
  • Attend owner meetings and manage contracts and vendor relations
  • Prepare and review budgets, change orders and funding amendments
  • Search for new business and grow relationships with customers
