Job summary

HPM in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the entire construction process from start to finish, coordinating vendors, contract negotiations, client expectations, and risk management.

The role requires on-site leadership, budgeting and procurement, and the ability to provide planning and technical support across multiple phases of construction. Travel to project sites or other offices up to five days per week may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 4-10 years of experience in large, complex facility construction and on-site management of new construction and renovations.
• Proficient in MS Office and scheduling software such as Suretrak, Project, P6, Procore, Revit, VICO or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of assistant project managers and participate in delivering training for other project and some field staff.
• Maintain the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and budget.
• Develop project administration, correspondence, letters, etc.
• Provide planning, administration, programming, design, construction and technical support to ensure projects meet established standards and procedures.
• Develop and ensure budgetary controls for each project to monitor progress and budget.
• Prepare/Review documentation related to project construction administration, contractor payments, change orders, inspections, quality, safety and contract compliance.
• Prepare cost estimates and analyze contractor proposals.
• Attend owners meetings for input on construction, renovations, and other projects.
