Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to join our nationwide team.

This role requires 100% travel within Texas to support transportation, commercial, wind energy, and other high-profile projects, performing field testing and inspection of construction materials. The candidate should have a high school diploma and an associate degree preferred, with NICET, ICC, AWS, ASNT Level II certifications, and strong safety, communication, and independent work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree preferred in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology.
• NICET/ICC/AWS/ASNT certifications relevant to construction materials testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, observation, and inspection on construction projects.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Document findings and prepare inspection reports.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and team across diverse sites.
• Maintain equipment calibration and follow safety procedures.
