Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Construction Manager to supervise site activities for food and beverage process facilities across the USA and Canada. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety compliance on industrial projects.

In this client-facing role, you will liaise with owners, subs, building officials and the A/E team, drive field engineering, and support project start-up and close-out activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering or related field preferred.
• Design-build experience on industrial projects is a plus.
• Experience overseeing sub-contractors and driving project schedule.
• Strong client interaction, technical, organizational and communication skills.
• Progressive site experience on industrial building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and budgets.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% across USA and possibly Canada.
• Work 10 days onsite, 4 days off.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and coordinate subcontractors.
• Supervise field engineers or junior construction managers when directed.
• Develop and update project scope, budget, and schedule with project management.
• Maintain site safety procedures with the safety team.
• Oversee equipment installations and utility systems.
• Manage permits, change orders, and contract administration.
• Coordinate field engineering and inspections; manage third-party testing.
• Prepare and maintain project reports and logs; monitor subcontractor compliance.
• Collaborate with owners, subs, building officials, and A/E team.
• Support project close-out activities and knowledge transfer.
