Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee field and office construction activities for industrial food and beverage facilities. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure site safety while collaborating with owners, engineers, and architects.

This client-facing role requires travel across the USA and Canada, a strong grasp of construction documents, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering or a related field strongly preferred.
• Design-build experience on industrial projects strongly preferred.
• Overseeing sub-contractors and driving the project schedule.
• Client interaction experience - strong technical, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
• Progressively responsible job site experience working on industrial building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medium-to-large industrial projects with subcontractor coordination.
• Develop and update project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Manage project accounting, budgeting, and cost control.
• Establish and enforce site safety procedures.
• Coordinate field engineering and equipment installations.
• Prepare and manage third-party testing, inspections, and reports.
• Prepare project reports and logs; assist in close-out activities.
• Travel up to 100% to sites in the USA/Canada; work 10 days on, 4 days off.
