Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Construction Manager to supervise day-to-day construction activities for food and beverage process facilities. The role involves coordinating subcontractors, ensuring site safety, managing schedules and budgets, and interfacing with owners, subs, and A/E teams.

The ideal candidate will have a construction degree (or related field), design-build experience on industrial projects, and the ability to read construction documents. Travel up to 100% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering or related field required or strongly preferred.
• Design-build experience on industrial projects preferred.
• Proficiency reading construction documents, schedules and budgets.
• Travel up to 100% to projects across USA (and Canada).
• Work 10 days onsite, 4 days off as schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medium-sized construction projects on site and in office.
• Develop and update project scope, budget and schedule with project management.
• Manage project accounting, budgeting and cost control.
• Establish and maintain site safety procedures with the safety team.
• Coordinate installation of process, mechanical and utility equipment.
• Handle permitting, codes, and regulatory approvals.
• Manage change orders and general construction administration.
• Coordinate field engineering and inspections with subcontractors.
• Lead third-party testing and QA relationships.
• Prepare project reports, logs, and close-out activities.
• Collaborate with owners, subs, building officials and A/E team.
