Job summary

Housing Development Corporation MidAtlantic (HDC) is hiring a Traveling Community Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for an affordable housing community in Southeast, PA. This full-time role requires strong leadership, leasing oversight, and resident engagement across multiple sites within the region.

Applicants should have a background in customer service or property management, excellent organizational skills, and be open to learning property management software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background in customer service preferred but will train.
• Experience in affordable housing is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn property management software and standard office tech.
• Must pass drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site operations and resident relations for assigned community.
• Oversee leasing, waitlist management, and program eligibility.
• Manage rent collection and ensure monthly/quarterly goals.
• Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, RD, and 811 as applicable.
• Supervise maintenance and curb appeal; coordinate vendor work.
• Monitor finances and administrative tasks to stay on budget.
