Pratum Companies is seeking a Traveling Community Manager for affordable housing across multiple residential properties. Traveling Community Manager (Affordable Housing)
This position is responsible for providing on‑site management of one or more residential multifamily apartment communities. It requires travel throughout the company’s portfolio nationwide, with primary support in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, including Virginia and Maryland. Overnight travel to any state for operational coverage is a requirement. Candidates must live within 30 minutes of a major airport in the mid‑Atlantic (e.g., DC, MD, VA) and have reliable transportation.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Ability to read and write English fluently, perform intermediate mathematical functions, and master on‑site resident‑management software functions.
Minimum of three years of experience in residential property management as a Community Manager.
The position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year, and serve on‑call or for overtime as needed. Travel may be required to attend owner gatherings near the associate’s home property or in another state, and to attend certain resident events held after hours.
Must be capable of physically accessing all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities, and capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, or moving/maneuvering weights up to 50 lbs. independently and 100 lbs. with assistance.

This role is exempt and has an anticipated annual pay range of $55k‑75k for a new employee, based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. The position may be eligible for discretionary and/or performance‑based bonuses and overtime for all hours worked over 40 per week. Full‑time positions (30+ hours/week) are eligible for 2 weeks paid vacation, 3 weeks sick and related leave, 11 paid holidays, and health & welfare benefits as outlined on the company’s website.
