Job summary

ZenaTech Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations, with 5–7 years of experience and proficiency in QuickBooks or similar platforms. The role requires coordination across portfolio companies, month-end close support, and travel across the U.S. as needed.

The successful candidate will maintain ledgers, generate financial statements, process invoices, and ensure compliance with policies while collaborating with internal teams and external auditors.

Qualifications

• College degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance and accounting.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English are mandatory.
• Excellent organizational skills, self-starter, ability to identify efficiencies and recommend efficiencies, and operational thinking are critical.
• Ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willing and able to travel across the U.S. (required).

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Maintain or assist in maintaining general ledgers and reconciling ledger accounts regularly.
• Integrate accounting processes and implement appropriate tagging of financial records across all portfolio companies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Generate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, trial balance).
• Help in preparation of supporting documentation for external accountants or auditors.
• Ensure proper record keeping, document retention and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports; liaise with AP and AR teams as needed in a timely manner.
• Integrate banking systems across all portfolio companies.
• Manage any vendor relationships and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Manage payroll processing and related filings (as applicable).
• Act as a liaison between various internal teams to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
