Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced leader for a fulltime traveling role supporting aviation projects nationwide. The position reports to the Aviation Market Segment Group and emphasizes Special Systems procurement, GMP development, and cross-disciplinary coordination.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in Low Voltage and IT Infrastructure within complex construction, strong knowledge of TIA/EIA and BICSI, and demonstrated supervisory capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with progressive responsibility and exposure to construction design, cost, sequence, logistics and field installations of substantial Low Voltage systems and IT Infrastructure components or equivalent
• Experience with installation of one or more major Special Systems and IT Infrastructure components, required
• Working knowledge of TIA/EIA and BICSI
• Familiar with range of project delivery methods (design-bid-build, design-build, CM at risk)
• Extensive system integration experience
• Supervisory experience, ability to motivate, coach, and develop high performance teams
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to lead, negotiate, influence, and engage stakeholders, teams, and others
• Professional and effective written and verbal communications skills with ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences
• Advanced project management skills and ability to manage high volume of work in deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

• Manage Special Systems procurement, project budgets, quality, safety, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and close-out processes
• Prepare scope of work documents with a division of responsibility for trades and specific scopes of work for special systems
• Participate in GMP development, identify design features that command cost premiums and recommend alternatives
• Interpret and review Special Systems contract documents to mitigate and manage project risk from SD-30% to CD-100%
• Leverage contract document knowledge to negotiate construction change requests
• Execute integration and delivery of Special Systems compliance, construction delivery support, coordination, quality control and field engineering from inception through closeout
• Develop and maintain relationships with Engineers, Design Consultants, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Inspectors, and Owner's Representatives
• Lead, supervise, and develop Turner Special Systems employees; coach on processes and implementation
• Collaborate with Business Development and potential clients, contribute to proposals and presentations
• Foster environment for team contributions and continuous improvement
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and talent development initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
