Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a fulltime traveling assignment across the United States, supporting our Aviation projects within the Aviation Division. You will report to the Aviation Market Segment Group and oversee Special Systems procurement, budgets, scheduling, installation, and commissioning on high-profile sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive construction experience with low voltage and IT infrastructure projects.
• Experience with installation of major Special Systems and IT components.
• Familiar with TIA/EIA and BICSI guidance and standards.
• Knowledge of varied project delivery methods (design-bid-build, design-build, CM at risk).
• Extensive system integration experience across complex projects.
• Strong supervisory capabilities to mentor high-performance teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced project management skills and deadline-driven execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage Special Systems procurement, project budgets, quality, safety, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and close-out processes.
• Prepare scope of work documents with a division of responsibility for trades and specific scopes of work for special systems.
• Participate in GMP development, identify cost premiums and propose alternatives that deliver comparable functions.
• Interpret and review contract documents to mitigate risk across SD-30%, DD-60%, CD-100% documents.
• Leverage contract knowledge to negotiate construction change requests.
• Deliver integration and field engineering from inception through closeout of the project.
• Develop relationships with Engineers, Design Consultants, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Inspectors, and Owner's Representatives.
• Lead, supervise, and develop Turner Special Systems employees and provide coaching.
• Collaborate with Business Development and participates in proposals and presentations.
• Foster a coaching environment for continuous improvement within the team.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews; use talent management systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
