Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced project leader for a full-time traveling assignment focused on Special Systems for aviation projects nationwide. The role reports to the Aviation Market Segment Group and requires coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in Special Systems/IT infrastructure, familiarity with relevant standards, and the ability to manage schedules, safety, and turnover activities

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience with Special Systems/Low Voltage and IT Infrastructure.
• Experience with installation of one or more major Special Systems components.
• Working knowledge of TIA/EIA and BICSI standards.
• Ability to read and interpret contract docs, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Special Systems installation per contract docs, schedule, quality, and staffing.
• Develop the Special Systems schedule including engineering coordination and installation.
• Ensure safety program compliance with EH&S and Turner standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to resolve issues.
• Lead coordination with other disciplines (HVAC, electrical, fire protection).
• Manage turnover processes including start-up, testing, commissioning and closeout.
• Mentor and develop Superintendents, participate in hiring and performance reviews.
