Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Houston seeks a Wire EDM Field Service Technician who will diagnose and repair complex Mitsubishi Machining equipment on-site at customer facilities. This 100% travel role covers US destinations and occasional international sites, Monday through Friday.

The job requires mechanical and electrical knowledge, reading schematics, and strong communication. Travel and overtime are common, and a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Skilled in Electrical measurement and inspection techniques (Voltmeter, Oscilloscope and other measurement equipment).
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Skilled in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques (Dial Indicators, Micrometers, and Calipers).

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repair.
• Examine machines mechanically and electrically to perform repairs by dismantling machines and rebuilding as needed.
• Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers.
• Effectively interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
• Document in detail product problems and resolutions.
• Other duties as assigned
