Job summary

MC Machinery Systems, Inc. in Cypress, CA is seeking a Wire EDM Field Service Technician. This is a 100% travel role, primarily across the US with some international assignments, responsible for on-site repair and support of Mitsubishi Machining equipment.

The position requires a 2-year electronic/technical degree or equivalent experience, strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Travel-intensive with a Monday–Friday schedule and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year electronic or technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with electrical measurement and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repair
• Examine machines mechanically and electrically to perform repairs by dismantling and rebuilding as needed
• Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers
• Effectively interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems
• Document in detail product problems and resolutions
