Vestas is seeking a Repair Technician II for a remote, hourly role requiring 100% travel across the South region. With overtime, travel, and supplemental earnings, technicians can earn over $100,000 per year while developing electrical and mechanical skills on turbine projects.

The position offers a $2,500 USD sign-on bonus and opportunities to work on major component exchanges, gearboxes, and retrofits, with comprehensive safety training and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of wind technician experience, or six months wind technician experience with a Wind Technician certificate/education, or 2 years of transferrable mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic experience.
• Preferred wind turbine experience with hands‑on MCE work.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting and executing major repairs on various platforms.
• Ability to travel 100% and work in varied site conditions.

Responsabilités

• Perform major component exchanges including gearboxes, generators, and other critical systems.
• Execute maintenance and repairs, design modifications, retrofits and special projects.
• Travel extensively to support turbine operations across multiple platforms and site conditions.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure a secure working environment.
