Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Repair Technician II or Tech III for a remote, travel-heavy role across the Northwest region. Earn $2,500 USD sign-on bonus and overtime potential, with total earnings over $100,000 annually possible through travel, overtime, and supplemental pay.

The position focuses on major exchanges, gearbox and generator work, and equipment retrofits while advancing electrical and mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• Prioritize safety above all else and follow established safety protocols.
• Minimum wind technician experience requirements include 1 year (or 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate) or 2 years of transferrable mechanical/electrical/hydraulic experience.
• Ability to travel 100% and work in varied site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and perform risk assessments before starting work.
• Perform major component exchanges including gearboxes and generators.
• Execute maintenance and repairs, including design modifications and retrofits.
• Travel extensively to support turbine operations across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, efficient work and high-quality outcomes.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain a secure working environment.
• Gain exposure to multiple turbine platforms and environments.
