The role emphasizes safety, frequent travel, and hands-on work with gearboxes, generators, and retrofits, supporting turbines and communities powered by wind energy.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year wind technician experience or 2 years transferrable mechanical/electrical experience.
• Willingness to travel 100% and work across varied site conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and follow English instructions.
• Safety-focused with experience in wind turbine systems and repair.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and perform risk assessments before work.
• Perform major component exchanges (gearboxes, generators, etc.).
• Carry out maintenance, repairs, modifications, and retrofits per procedures.
• Travel extensively to sites across the South region.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality work.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain a secure work environment.
• Work across multiple turbine platforms and site conditions.
