Vestas American Wind Technology is seeking a Repair Technician II for a remote, travel-heavy role across the South region. You will lead or support major component exchanges, work on gearboxes, generators, and retrofit projects, and travel to turbine sites to minimize downtime.

You'll join a team focused on safety, quality, and continuous learning, with comprehensive training offerings and a $2,500 sign-on bonus. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• One year of wind technician experience or six months with a Wind Technician certificate
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across turbine components
• Willingness to travel 100% and work in varied site conditions
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English

Responsibilities

• The role focuses on major component exchanges including gearboxes and generators.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on turbines and retrofit projects per procedures.
• Travel extensively to support turbine operations across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safety, efficiency and quality in all tasks.
