Job summary

Aerotek is seeking experienced Travel TIG Welders for large-scale data center construction projects in Houston, TX. You will weld stainless steel and carbon steel components, work with TIG and stick welding on complex infrastructure, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams from initial buildout through system turnover.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years journey-level welding experience, ASME IX qualification or ability to pass tests, and a safety-minded approach on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years journey-level welding in industrial construction.
• GTAW (TIG) on stainless steel and SMAW on carbon steel.
• ASME Section IX qualification (6G) or ability to pass weld test.
• AWS D1.1 qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to read isometric, spool, and structural drawings.
• Proficiency with welding machines, torches, grinders, and related tools.
• Strong safety mindset and PPE compliance on site.
• Experience welding large-bore piping and heavy structural members.

Responsibilities

• Weld on data center infrastructure from buildout through turnover.
• Read and interpret welding drawings and specifications.
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity on site.
