SpaceXSI seeks an Industrial Welder to support the buildout of high-performance data centers. You will weld large piping and structural steel to ASME IX, working with mechanical, structural, electrical, and operations teams from construction through turnover on a full-time onsite basis.

You will travel to SpaceXSI data center sites, read drawings, and ensure welds meet ASME IX, safety, and quality standards. A 3+ year welding background and ability to pass a weld test are required.

Qualifications

• Journey-level welding experience; 3+ years welding large industrial piping and/or structural steel, or completion of a recognized welding apprenticeship.
• Willingness to pass a pre-employment weld test to ASME Section IX for the processes used on site.
• Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and on evolving data center construction sites.
• Capability to read isometric, spool, and structural drawings and follow related welding documentation.
• Strong safety mindset; will follow site procedures including hot-work permits and LOTO.

Responsabilités

• Fit, tack, and weld large-bore industrial piping and/or structural steel per drawings and WPS.
• Lay out, cut, bevel, grind, and align joints; verify fit-up and reinforcement.
• Read isometric and structural drawings; track heat numbers and weld continuity.
• Support installation of pipe supports, hangers, and structural members; assist with bolt-up.
• Stage and inventory materials; keep work areas orderly and compliant with safety rules.
• Enforce protection, fire watch, hot-work permits, and site cleanup protocols.
• Report damaged material, rejected welds, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Support turnover, punch-list, and NDE hold-point activities.
