Aerotek is seeking experienced Travel TIG Welders for large-scale data center construction projects in Houston, TX. You will weld stainless steel and carbon steel components, work with TIG and stick welding on complex infrastructure, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams from initial buildout through system turnover.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years journey-level welding experience, ASME IX qualification or ability to pass tests, and a safety-minded approach on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years journey-level welding in industrial construction.
• GTAW (TIG) on stainless steel and SMAW on carbon steel.
• ASME Section IX qualification (6G) or ability to pass weld test.
• AWS D1.1 qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to read isometric, spool, and structural drawings.
• Proficiency with welding machines, torches, grinders, and related tools.
• Strong safety mindset and PPE compliance on site.
• Experience welding large-bore piping and heavy structural members.

Travel TIG Welders - Data Center Construction - $160 Per Diem - Up to $60/hr - Houston, TX

Aerotek is seeking experienced Travel TIG Welders to join their team for large-scale data center construction projects in Houston, Texas. Welders will work on high-performance AI supercomputing infrastructure, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from initial buildout through system turnover. This opportunity is ideal for journey-level welders with strong TIG and stick welding skills who thrive in dynamic, safety-focused environments and want to contribute to cutting-edge technology projects.

What You’ll Need

• 3+ years journey-level industrial construction welding experience or completion of a recognized welding apprenticeship/military equivalent
• Hands-on experience with GTAW (TIG) on stainless steel and/or SMAW (stick) on carbon steel
• Current ASME Section IX qualification (such as 6G) in GTAW/SMAW or ability to pass pre-employment weld test
• AWS D1.1 structural welding qualification or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret isometric, spool, and structural drawings
• Proficiency with welding machines, torches, grinders, and related tools
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to site procedures (PPE, hot-work permits, LOTO)
• Experience welding large-bore process, mechanical, or utility piping and heavy structural members
• Willingness to work at heights and outdoors
