Job summary

Newsandtribune seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist for a Level 3 Trauma hospital OR in Concord, NC. The candidate will scrub across trauma, spine, robotics, and bariatrics, using EPIC EMR, with 12-hour day shifts and on-call requirements. A minimum of 5 years' experience and BLS is required.

Active licensure is preferred and travel readiness for holiday coverage is expected. Strong sterile technique and references within one year are essential to join a high-performing OR team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• 12 months of core OR experience with the most recent within the last year.
• Recent and comprehensive Neuro spine experience with specific techniques.
• BLS certification required; licensure active if applicable.
• Last 4 of SSN and full DOB required for consideration.
• Minimum of 1 professional reference from a Supervisor/Manager/Director within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level 3 Trauma hospital OR with Stroke, Bariatric and Chest Pain Center designations.
• Scrub in a wide variety of surgical specialties including trauma, spine, robotics and bariatrics.
• Operate in a 19-suite OR unit with EPIC EMR used.
• 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p) with weekend rotation and on-call duties.
• Support from clinical supervisors and OR staff to ensure patient safety.
• Travelers expected to cover 75% of holidays; RTO subject to management approval.

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with 5+ years of experience and recent Neuro spine case experience for a Level 3 Trauma hospital OR.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Minimum of 12 months of core work experience in the OR specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Recent and comprehensive Neuro experience required, including Globus, robotic/navigation, ALIFs, TLIFs, ACDFs, and lateral/posterior/anterior approaches
• BLS certification required
• Certification preferred but not required
• Active license required if applicable
• Strong sterile technique skills
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Last 4 of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within one year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Responsibilities

• Level 3 Trauma hospital with Stroke, Bariatric, and Chest Pain Center of Excellence designations
• 19-suite OR unit (17 rooms blocked) averaging 50 cases per day
• Surgical specialties include trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, and plastics
• EPIC EMR used
• 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p) worked Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend, in the form of scheduled shift or call
• Call requirement averages 6 shifts per 6-week schedule with a 45-minute response time (11p-7a or 7a-7p/7p-7a on weekends)No floating required
• Scrub in a wide variety of complex surgical specialties including trauma, spine, cardiac, robotics, and bariatrics
• Supported by service line clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, ORAs, unit secretaries, and tech engineers
• Orientation includes facility-wide NEO plus 2 days of departmental orientation
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO subject to manager approval
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
