American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant for a CVOR assignment in Missouri. The role requires NBSTSA CSFA certification, Level I trauma experience, and BLS as a base credential.

You will support cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries in a day-shift CVOR setting. Travelers with strong aseptic technique, case familiarity with CABG, valve procedures, VADs, and vascular/thoracic cases are encouraged to apply. On-call duties apply; housing and per diem are provided.

Responsibilities

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant for a CVOR position requiring NBSTSA CSFA certification and Level I trauma experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience required
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Skilled in aseptic technique and sterilization/disinfection procedures
• Experience with vascular procedures such as AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, and endovascular aneurysm repair preferred
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures such as CABG, mitral valve replacement, and VAD preferred
• Experience with thoracic procedures including VATS and lung resection preferred

Responsibilities

• CVOR setting supporting cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 4x10-hour shifts from 0600-1630
• On-call requirements apply
• Cases include CABG, mitral valve replacement, VAD, vascular repairs, and thoracic procedures such as VATS and lung resection
• Utilizes case cart and crash cart equipment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Clinicians may not work past 1 year as a traveler without taking a 6-month break before returning
• Fit testing for respirator clearance is required prior to start, and candidates must be clean-shaven to ensure a proper mask seal
• CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, and personal devices or exemptions are not accepted
